Guidelines and Conditions

  • GUESTS: If you are booking on behalf of others, please ensure that they receive a copy of the confirmation & conditions. The occupants should be fully aware of the details & conditions of their stay.
  • PAYMENT: Payment may be made by cash, EFT, Australian cheque or credit card (Visa and MasterCard only) by telephone or email. Our bank details are BSB: 306 063 and Account Number: 468 7553.
  • CANCELLATIONS/EARLY DEPARTURES: Bonds are non-refundable if bookings are cancelled within 3 weeks of arrival. Unless otherwise agreed, if you wish to shorten your stay after arrival then we request a minimum of 3 weeks notice of an exact departure date. Payment will be due for the entire booking if departure is earlier and this notice is not given.
  • OPTIONS TO EXTEND: If advice is not given by the dates noted on the confirmation, then the option to extend may not be able to be exercised. We may be able to assist given late notice. But it is likely that the property will be booked to another party on or soon after your departure date.
  • KEY ARRANGEMENTS: Keys will be left under the front door mat of your apartment from 2pm on the day of your arrival, unless otherwise arranged. Upon departure, keys can generally be locked inside the property (leave on dining table). If this is not possible due to the type of front door lock, then take keys, secure locks and place keys inside the letterbox for your apartment at the front of the building.
  • DEPARTURE TIME: 10am is the latest departure time from the property on your last day, unless otherwise agreed.
  • POWER: Electricity and Gas services are connected and for short term stays the consumption is included in the booking amount; to a maximum of $10 per day for a 1 bedroom, $15 per day for a 2 bedroom and $20 per day for a 3 bedroom. Any excess electricity usage above this is deducted from the bond at 30 cents per electricity unit. For stays of 3 months or more, electricity consumption is not included in the weekly rate and is a separate cost to the quoted weekly rate and is based on actual usage.
  • INTERNET: Free unlimited Wi-Fi is provided in every short term rental property.
  • SMOKING: Please note that apartments are non smoking. An ashtray is provided if you wish to smoke outside.
  • CLEANING/SERVICING: The property is not cleaned or serviced during your stay, but this can be arranged if you wish. The cleaning charge is $70 per 2 hour visit or $105 for a 3 hour visit. The property will be presented to you clean and functional and fully equipped upon your arrival. Should you have any concerns whatsoever with the cleaning standards in any area or if any items are not functioning to your satisfaction please contact us straight away so that we may correct it quickly for you.
  • DEPARTURE: We ask that the property is returned to us reasonably clean and tidy when you depart.  If excessively unclean then cleaning charges may be deducted from your bond @ $35 per hour.  If carpets, rugs or lounges are soiled then charges may apply.
  • BOND REFUNDS: Your bond will be returned to you by cheque or EFT or credited back to your credit card within 2 weeks of your departure. Any excess cleaning costs, breakages, missing items, carpet cleaning costs or excess electricity will be deducted only if applicable.
  • DISCLAIMER: The apartment is rented and occupied at the sole risk of the tenant. Dowler Apartments, its proprietors, employees and/or agents shall not be liable for any injury, loss or damage to property or any other claim whatsoever arising out of the rental or occupancy of the apartment.
